In November , iron ore exports have gone down by 30.59 per cent to 8.07 million tonnes due to ban imposed by mineral rich Karnataka on iron ore shipments. India had shipped 11.53 million tonnes of iron ore during the same period of last year according to the data complied by indusrty body FIMI. Karnataka had banned issue of permits to transport iron ore and other mineral for exports in July.
